  1. I'm surprised you haven't mentioned that the BBCs Call the Midwife had an episode about a Down syndrome woman a few weeks ago? It sort of hit the prejudices of the time (1950s) and was written incredibly well - the writer, Heidi, her brother had Down syndrome and she wrote the story incredibly well.
